fountain

So what happened to Pyrolympics? There haven't been any news about it. I am always looking forward to watching the spectacular fireworks exhibition from different countries. Although it causes so much hassle going to MOA coz of the heavy traffic and hurly-burly of a lot of people, the pyrotechnics display is surely a good treat for everyone. Those colorful firecrackers that light up the sky, create a loud bang and transform into various shapes like spaceships, hearts, diamonds, etc. give more reasons to enjoy the holidays. It's sad there's none this year. Or are they going to have it this January? If you have any details regarding the Pyrolympics, please let me know right away.

joy & happiness

ahoy! kumusta naman may admirer ako. hihi. Received this bouquet of flowers today. I was sluggish the whole morning because I haven't been getting enough sleep lately. But when this was delivered to me in the office, I was awaken from my imaginary slumber. I rambled through my thoughts and tried to remember if I ever went to a flower shop yesterday, drunk or depressed, and bought a bouquet for myself. But I prolly wouldn't do that coz it will cost much. Plus if I was the one who purchased it, I'll pick a sunflower.

Sooo... to conclude, these flowers are pretty -and- they're from someone sweet =)

greeting card

This is the product of my "being sick" and "staying in the house all day". My body was tired of resting and I needed to do something else. Thought of making one of those 3D like greeting cards in time for the coming holidays. I don't actually have a recipient. I just asked myself if I can make one, and judging from the outcome...yeah I can make one or something like it.

sunset, priest & asking

Our building admin always celebrates First Friday Masses. Fortunately, my officemates and I were able to attend yesterday's mass. Masses are usually officiated at the rooftop of the building, overlooking the cities of Muntinlupa and Paranaque. A dazzling sunset and a cold wind serves as a wonderful backdrop to the venue.

I tried to focus on the mass. You know to listen attentively and contemplate on the readings but my attention was just somewhere else. I kept looking at the sunset. Seriously, it was really really gorgeous. With its fiery red-orange color and captivating roundness, the sunset effortlessly charmed me. It was already halfway down the skyline, with clouds gathering on the side, the sunset's radiance looked hot and serene at the same time. Watching it seems to vanquish my troubles away. At that moment, I felt that there is really someone up there, omnipotent and kind, watching us.

My attention was then stolen by the voice of the priest greeting the attendees of the mass in his
homily. I noticed he was a homosexual. I'm sure of it! His voice, the way he speaks, the way he nods and sighs and waves his hands. Yeah even my officemate gave me that odd look when I looked at her. Just the same, I don't question his capacity of being a priest. I believe anyone can serve God as long as he has the purest of intentions.

Anyway, the priest talked about preparing and celebrating for the coming birth of Christ. He said that Christmas is not just the season of giving like everyone knows, it is also the season of asking. I was like, wait a minute... what did he say? And I heard him reiterating that Christmas, as much as it is popular for giving gifts and sharing one's blessings it is also the time when people should ask. It is the chance for us to ask God what he wants us to do with our life. To ask him if we have been able to serve him and make him happy. It is not just the thought of giving and sacrificing. You have yet to first ask God, what he wants from you. In doing so, you will be able to give him something that you know are of his plans.

On that note, I guess the priest's idea was brilliant. Sure it is a good thing to give, but I think that when you give try to make sure it is valuable. Because what's the point of giving when it has no value right? And so you need to ask. Ask God what he wants to receive. Ask yourself what your neighbors need and ask yourself what you can do so that life will love you back. When you find the answers to all these, you will be positive that what you are giving makes an impact. Then, your act of giving or sacrificing will not be put to waste.

Upon realizing this, I tried to look at the sunset again. To humbly ask God what he thinks he should be getting from me this season. But as I looked at the horizon, the sunset was already waving its last goodbye. Only embers and the shadow of the round ball exhibited from the horizon.

I'll just talk to him later.

12-5-07

As much as I hate posting melodramatic things on my blog buuut I feel like crying right now.

I feel like our conversation this afternoon was just ordinary for him. There's so much that I needed to say but he ruined the moment. I was on the verge of blurting things that could either lead to -- make or break, all or nothing, fight or flight. Whatever.

I can't remember where I got the courage to be the first one to say hi. At least I tried to be bold. I am proud of myself on that part. But he just brushed off the convo. Like everything seemed normal. I mean it's as if our communication with each other didn't ice out for more or less a month. While I tried to be serious, he was back to playing his antics and sense of humor. He doesn't get it -or- he understands but tries to be oblivious.

After a few words, I decided I can't continue it anymore. I couldn't possibly imagine talking some meaningful matters while he attempts to alter the mood and lead the conversation somewhere else. I hate it when people try to play around when I'm serious. Coz I only get serious once in a blue moon. And when I'm serious, I'm serious. Minsan na nga lang, ganun pa.

Honestly I know he was masking the topic of the discussion, giving both of us the convenience not to be able to talk about something that is sensitive. I guess he was such a coward. I wanted to remind him that I'm a smart girl. I know when people like me and I also get it when people don't like me and I try to accept it as best as I can. I just want the truth. But of course I couldn't get that coz he was careful.

Screw one-sided affection.

I'm tired.

Where's My Shreck??!

Her goal was to win a medal and so she got it. A silver medal was awarded to my niece during their Public Speaking Contest in school last week. It took some preparations -- from letting her listen to a recorded version of the poem before she sleeps to asking her to recite even while strolling in the mall and weeeell it all paid off... I'm suuuuper proud! Im sure my sis is waaaaay prouder. She also can deliver the poem by heart, she was the first parent to arrive during the contest proper and sat on the first row of chairs at the back of the judges. I almost thought she would be the one to stand up when the emcee called the name of my niece, thank God it didn't happen.
